If you want a well organized audio library, you should not limit yourself to sorting the files in different folders. Renaming the files, trimming the sound or removing silent segments can have good results. Rehab can be used to perform these actions on WAV and BWAV files. It is a simple application, with easy to understand options and it will take you only a few moments to rename countless files.

Rehab can be used on Windows XP or any later edition, up to Windows 8 and it operates only with WAV and BWAV files. It is part of a larger collection of useful applications, aimed mainly at professional sound designers. The software comes in a small package and you can have it up and running in no time.

Audio files are listed on a clean and simple interface. Once you load your files, you can make a series of renaming settings, beneath the list. The application allows you to replace strings, remove spaces, non-alpha numeric characters or non-ASCII characters, replace file names with BWAV add descriptions, as prefixes or suffixes, or limit the character length.

You can also tick a few options, on the right side of the interface, if you wish to trim audio heads and tails, delete gaps, to reduce memory usage, strip all metadata, remove Netmix chunks, convert the files to mono and more. Before processing the files, you can decide to overwrite or keep the originals or save the processed files in a different folder.

Pros

You can batch rename countless WAV and BWAV files. The software can also remove gaps from audio files, to preserve disk space, delete non-ASCII or non-alpha numeric characters from file names and more.

Cons

The trial version will process a maximum of four files. With Rehab, you can rename and optimize your audio library, with nothing more than a few clicks.
